The Cooperative Research Centre for National Plant Biosecurity (CRCNPB) centrally coordinates plant biosecurity research across all Australian states and territories. It aims to foster scientific collaboration and engage stakeholders to deliver plant biosecurity technologies that will reduce risk to, and ensure sustainability of, Australia's plant industries.
As a core participant of the CRCNPB, PHA contributes to management arrangements and provides input to CRCNPB project priorities. PHA also assists in the provision of research to CRCNPB projects and works to promote and facilitate the adoption of CRCNPB project outputs.
PHA’s engagement with the CRCNPB links PHA’s 45 government and industry members with an extensive collaborative network of researchers and educators. By leveraging relationships and forging new partnerships amongst all these biosecurity stakeholders, PHA and the CRCNPB are able to maximise the benefits and impact of project outputs and new products and services that improve Australia’s plant health system.
