The APPD is managed by Plant Health Australia (PHA) and the Office of the Chief Plant Protection Officer (OCPPO), with IT support provided by VPAC. In addition, a steering committee chaired by OCPPO, with representatives from PHA, VPAC and the data contributors, provides technical guidance and oversees the project.
As information contained in the APPD may have an impact on the market access and trade of Australian agricultural produce, access to the password-protected database is governed by the following guidelines:
We will attempt to acknowledge all requests for access within 24-48 hours. Details provided will only be used to assess your eligibility for access to the APPD, and will not be used for any other purpose. Your details may be made available to the APPD steering committee.
If you are granted access to the APPD, your personal details will be recorded to allow for password administration and may be reviewed by Plant Health Australia staff, the project steering committee, and/or individual data providers to ensure the security/and or performance of the APPD system.
Use of the Australian Plant Pest Database is subject to the following legal notice and disclaimer.
