Dr Sharyn Taylor joined PHA as a Program Manager in February 2007. In this role Sharyn is responsible for managing biosecurity planning and implementation projects including Industry Biosecurity Plan development, review and implementation, the National Surveillance Strategy, and the National Plant Surveillance Reporting Tool, the National Plant Pest Risk Mitigation Program and Grains Special Projects.
Sharyn was previously employed at SARDI as a Senior Research Scientist and has 16 years experience as a Nematologist working in dryland cropping systems in southern Australia. In 2000, she completed a PhD on the biology of, and yield loss caused by, root lesion nematodes (Pratylenchus spp.) in broad acre agriculture in South Australia and has published several journal articles in this field.
